Mike Bosley

I am the owner of Mike's Music. I started the business back in September 1981 aged 18. I left college having trained as a musical instrument repairer  and needed somewhere to work. Why set up in Bognor Regis many people ask? Well it's where I lived at the time and nobody else thought of opening a music shop here. Also the overheads on a small shop in the back streets of Bognor (Essex Road to be exact) were very cheap!
I spent most of the early eighties working on people's instruments and listening to a lot of BBC radio 4.

Many people worked with me in the early days sometimes for money and a lot of time because it was fun. If any old customers or friends are surfing the net don't forget to leave a Calling Card.
I have grown up (a bit) since then, and now claim to be a respectable businessman. This involves me in a lot more "serious stuff" as we now employ and contract to over 10 people. They in turn have mortgages to pay and families to feed, so I have to get it right.


I still pride myself on being a real stickler for quality and insist that all the instruments we sell and repair are subject to my standards and approval.
I am  very much available to customers that wish to talk with me about any aspect of music, my business, or anything else I can help with.
Enough of the business stuff! What do I do in my spare time (I have recently discovered spare time)? Well I still gig with various bands and groups on saxophone; I play golf , go to the Gym and get beaten often at badminton.

A recent arrival to the family, Mary-Jayne my wife produced our son he popped into the world at 7.10pm on 1st November 1998. weighing in at 6lb.8oz. His name is Alexander It will be a little time before we know if he has any interest in music but you never know!
