Mike Bosley and Andrew Dickinson are Makers Repairers and technicians and have jointly over 60 years experience in the Guitar, fretted and classical String repairs at Mikes Music Workshop.
Mike has been a musical instrument maker and repairer for over 35 years having made his first acoustic guitar whilst training in 1979/1980.
Mike started Mikes Music Bognor Regis in 1981.
Many repairers have worked and trained in Mikes string Workshops over the years including Steve Marsh, Patrick Wiliams, Andrew Dickinson, Ian Robinson to name a few.
Andrew Dickinson started working with Mike in the mid 1980s having trained as a classical guitar and Lute maker at West Dean College, and they have collaborated and worked together ever since.
Mike and Andy are still passionate about all aspects of Guitar, Electric Guitars and Classical Stringed instruments and are happy to give advice and help customers to understand their instruments better.
No Job is to big or two small, and the workshop is happy to undertake anything from a string change to a major rebuild of a valuable instrument.
Our Guitar Setups and refrets are always carried out with the up most attention to detail. Our prices are very competitive and we only carry out and charge for work that is needed. We currently have a workshop rate based on £30.00 and hour and we offer a same day drop off and collect service by apointment, larger jobs are undertaken usually on a Monday or Tuesday.

Much of Mike’s working day is spent giving advice and setting up the actions on instruments to make them as playable and responsive as possible. He has personally overseen and been responsible for string instrument work in Bognor Regis for over 35 years.
Mike is an enthusiatic guitarist, having really got the bug a few years back.
Andrew Dickinson has worked for many years as a Bass Player.
