We do what is needed to make the instrument
work at it's current level of maintenance. Most often requested
to correct minor damage such as bent keys. It is really remedial
work and is no substitute for regular servicing.

(should be carried out at 12 - 18 month intervals on most instruments,
but varies with level of use)
Our most common and popular job, it both fixes current problems
with the instrument, and helps to ensure reliability, consistency, and ease of
playing for the future.

Service (This is needed if the instrument
has not been regularly serviced but is less than 5 -7 years old
or has been left un-used for a considerable time. Professional
players may need this service yearly because of the exacting demands
and extended use and wear their instruments must meet.)
Overhaul
(Rebuilding the instrument to a fully
working item with all the reliability of a new instrument.)

This is the ultimate treatment for a prized
instrument. We start by doing everything in the overhaul list
and go much further, often replacing rods and screws and other
parts. Finally the instrument is re-engineered to meet or exceed
the original factory specifications. We can also offer refinishing
of silver plate and lacquer.
